I am delighted to have been selected to be Labour’s South West London Assembly candidate. I am hugely grateful to all those who voted for me and have supported me.
I am a Councillor in Hounslow with responsibility for Adult Social Care and Health. My professional background is in youth justice, community development and young people’s public health and I have just finished a Masters in Global Health.
My experience, my passion for and commitment to the people of Hounslow, Richmond and Kingston and my ability to reach out and get to know people from all different backgrounds, is why I believe I can WIN. I listen to and understand the needs, as well as recognise the wealth and great strengths of our communities. I want to see everyone achieving their potential and being able to fully participate in the things our City and the South West has to offer, without being held back by life circumstances, inequality and injustice.
Now that I am selected, I will bring my experience of winning in a marginal ward, my creative energy for campaigning and my integrity to the role. The foundation of the campaign will reflect my style of leadership which is about building something together. Building relationships, building team, building bridges, building trust, building support and finally building a majority so that together we can win this seat for Labour for the first time ever!
I would love you to come and join my campaign.
Thank You!
